Make Your Own Augusta National Pimento Cheese Sandwich

We’ve been counting down to the Masters since April 10th of last year. And as the main event FINALLY draws near, we’re diving into preparations to make it extra festive. If you’re not fortunate enough to be setting foot onto the hallowed Augusta National grounds, turn your home viewing up a notch with this impeccable pimento cheese sandwich recipe. It’s a delicious take on the real deal (minus the magic they sprinkle into every one down there on Magnolia Lane).

What You Need:
1 7-ounce jar of diced pimentos with juices
2 8-ounce blocks of extra sharp cheddar cheese
1 8-ounce block of jalapeño Monterey jack (Or substitute regular Monterey jack for less kick)
1 8-ounce brick of cream cheese (softened to room temp)
1 tbs grated vidalia onion
2 tbs honey
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Salt & fresh ground pepper to taste

Instructions:
1. Grate cheddar and monterey jack blocks. *Buying pre-shedded is an option, but fresh grating is highly recommended.
2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
3. Spread fresh at room temp on white bread. Can also be used for dip!

Storage: Pimento cheese is best served fresh, but can be sealed in an air tight container and refrigerated.

Makes 6-8 sandwiches.
